Mums

With Mother's Day this Sunday it gives us all an opportunity to tell our wonderful mums just how much we love them and how appreciated they are!  When you become a mum yourself, the day has a whole new meaning! You are the one being spoilt and treated!  It's lovely to have one day where you can put your feet up and relax!

I have always been very close to my mum, but I didn't realise how much I would need and rely upon her physical and emotional support when I had my daughter. Don't get me wrong, I am a very indepedent person, but there are some times when all I want is my mum's support, advice or help, this was especially true in the early days. I am sure that there are many women out there not agreeing with me and they possibly find their mums or mother-in-laws a little overbearing.  But I feel very lucky to have such an amazing and supportive mum who is a fabulous Nana to my little girl too!

So this Sunday, if you are lucky enough to have your mum in your life, make sure you say that 'thank you' that you have been meaning to say for ages and give them that extra big hug!  Being a mum is one of the most challenging jobs, its twenty four hours a day, seven days a week and unpredictable!  However, Motherhood is amazing, overwhelming, joyful, magical and truly the best kept secret!

Happy Mother's Day xxxx
